Former Fairfield Resident Lillian Hull Hughes Dies At 92

Fairfield County native and longtime Town of Fairfield resident Lillian Hull Hughes, 92, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Dec. 31, 2018.

She was born in Bridgeport on Oct. 28, 1926 and lived in Fairfield before coming to Port Charlotte in 1991. Hughes was a retired manager of an answering service in Connecticut. 

She is predeceased by her husband, John W. Hughes; son, Thomas J Hughes; grandson, Samuel Alexander Mather and her longtime friend Kenneth Haight. 

Hughes is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Wyman) Mather; grandson, Kevin (Amber) Mather and two great-grandsons, Kouper Lee and Samuel Kyle Mather, all of whom reside in Nebraska. 

There will be no services in Florida, Neptune Cremation Society of Omaha is handling all arrangements.
